GO to D3. | SERVICE Circuit 57 (BK) and RETEST system. |
D3 VERIFY POWER SEAT MOTOR HARNESS
- Disconnect seat motor wiring harness from body harness.
- Remove driver's seat from vehicle.
- Disconnect seat regulator control switch.
- Using Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 014-00407 or equivalent, check continuity between Pin 7, Circuit 517 (BK/W) at seat regulator control switch connector harness to main power connector Circuit 517 (BK/W).
Is there continuity?
Yes | No |
GO to D4. | REPLACE seat regulator and motor harness. RETEST system. |
D4 VERIFY SEAT MOTOR HARNESS GROUND
- Connect ohmmeter to Pin 7 of the seat motor connector and ground circuit of the harness to the body harness.
Is there continuity?
Yes | No |
GO to D5. | REPLACE seat regulator and motor harness. |
D5 DRIVER'S SEAT MOTOR HARNESS CHECK
- Disconnect 6-pin motor harness connector from seat motor connector and 8-pin connector from seat regulator control switch connector.
- Using the following table, compare continuity between the following pins using a DVOM
6-Pin Connector | 8-Pin Connector | Continuity |
Pin 3 | Pin 1 | All <100 Ohms |
Pin 5 | Pin 8 | <100 Ohms |
Pin 6 | Pin 5 | <100 Ohms |
Pin 1 | Pin 4 | <100 Ohms |
Pin 4 | Pin 2 | <100 Ohms |
Pin 2 | Pin 6 | <100 Ohms |
Are above continuities present?
Yes | No |
REMOVE and REPLACE front seat track. | REPLACE seat motor harness and RETEST system. |
PINPOINT TEST E: SEAT REGULATOR CONTROL SWITCH DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY
E1 CONTINUITY CHECK, SWITCH NEUTRAL
- Using test leads of a self-powered test light or volt-ohmmeter, check for continuity.
