DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING

Component Tests, Backup Lamps

NOTE: Use Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-R0051 or equivalent when performing the following component tests.

 

Transmission Range (TR) Sensor/Switch

  1. Disconnect transmission range sensor wiring harness connector.

  1. Attach ohmmeter to sensor terminals.

  1. Cycle switch as required to test all functions of terminals under test.

  1. Check sensor resistance between terminals.

  1. Cycle switch as required to test all functions of the terminals under test.

  1. Check switch resistance between terminals.
