REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Clutch Pedal

Removal

  1. Disconnect clutch pedal retracting spring from clutch pedal (7519) and bracket.

  1. Remove the nut that retains the clutch pedal to the clutch and brake pedal pivot shaft (7506).

  1. Remove the clutch pedal.

  1. If the brake pedal (2455) is to be removed, refer to Section 06-06.

Installation

  1. Position clutch pedal on shaft.

  1. Install and tighten nut to 68-92 Nm (50-68 lb-ft).

  1. Remove old pivot shaft lever and replace with a new one. Refer to Clutch and Brake Pedal Pivot Shaft Lever in the Removal and Installation portion of this section.

  1. NOTE: Spring installation is easier if clutch pedal lever assist spring (7534) is first compressed in a vise and retained in a compressed state with mechanics wire until in place. Once in place, cut mechanics wire and remove.

    Install clutch pedal lever assist spring. Make sure clutch pedal lever assist spring engages in clutch pedal and bracket slots.
