REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Brake Hose, Front

 

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.

  1. At the frame mounting point of the LH front brake hose (2078), disconnect the two front brake tube fittings.

  1. At the frame mounting point, remove the front brake hose mounting clip.

  1. At the disc brake caliper (2B120), remove the front disc brake caliper flow bolt. Discard the copper washers.

  1. Remove the front brake hose bolt securing the front brake hose to the disc brake caliper.

  1. Remove the front brake hose from the vehicle.

 

Installation

  1. Follow removal procedures in reverse order.

  1. Use new copper washers and tighten the front disc brake caliper flow bolt to 30-40 Nm (22-30 lb-ft).

  1. Tighten the front brake hose bolt to 3-5 Nm (27-44 lb-in).

  1. Tighten the two front brake tube fittings to 15-20 Nm (11-15 lb-ft).
