REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Axle Vent

 

Removal

  1. Raise vehicle and install safety stands.

  1. Disconnect rear axle hose (4090) from the rear axle housing vent (4022).

  1. Remove rear axle housing vent from rear axle housing (4010).

 

Installation

  1. Install rear axle housing vent to rear axle. Tighten to 11-25 Nm (8-18 lb-ft).

  1. Connect rear axle hose to rear axle housing vent.

  1. Check and add rear axle fluid if necessary.

  1. Remove safety stands and lower vehicle.
