REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Bumper Bar, F-150, F-250, F-350, F-Super Duty Chassis Cab and Bronco

 
 

Removal

  1. Support the bumper assembly and remove the four screw and washer assemblies (two each side) attaching the bumper bar assembly to the bumper arms.

  1. Carefully lower the bumper bar assembly from vehicle and lay it on a protective surface.

  1. Remove the front bumper horizontal pad (17C829) (if equipped), front bumper reinforcements (Bronco only), front valance panel (17626) and, if equipped, the front license plate mounting bracket (17A386) from the bumper bar.

 

Installation

  1. Install the front bumper horizontal pad (if equipped), front bumper reinforcements (Bronco only), front valance panel and, if equipped, the front license plate mounting bracket on the replacement bumper bar.

  1. NOTE: Inspect the four U-nuts on the bumper bar and four attaching screw and washer assemblies and replace if damaged.

    Position bumper bar assembly to vehicle and align the frame mounting brackets to the four U-nuts on the bumper bar.

  1. Install the four attaching screw and washer assemblies and tighten to 19-25 Nm (14-18 lb-ft).
