Bumpers

The front and rear bumpers are designed to protect the radiator (8005), lighting equipment, and sheet metal from damage due to minor impacts. They are made from heavy gauge steel and attached to the front and rear of the vehicle frame.

A chrome front bumper (17757) is standard on F-Series and Bronco vehicles. A special slotted bumper is available for all F-Series and Bronco XLT models and on vehicles with the 7.3L diesel. A black rub strip is included on XL with 7.3L diesel and all vehicles with XLT trim.

A chrome rear step bumper with black step and rub strip and provision for a trailer hitch is standard on all Bronco models.

A step-type rear bumper with anti-skid strip and provision for mounting a trailer hitch is a regular production option for the remaining models.
