F-Series

The back window glass on F-Series vehicles may be the fixed or sliding type. The fixed back window glass (42006) is fitted into a moulded rubber weatherstrip and is trimmed by a stamped metal trim piece.

The F-Series sliding back window glass, weatherstrip and frame are assembled as a unit and are not separately serviceable. The center portion of the sliding back window glass can be slid open a limited distance or closed and locked.

Bronco

WARNING: TO PREVENT THE ENTRY OF DANGEROUS EXHAUST FUMES, THE BACK WINDOW MUST BE CLOSED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING.

The Bronco back window glass is electrically operated from a switch on the instrument panel or with the ignition key at the tailgate mounted switch. The tailgate cannot be opened unless the back window glass is fully retracted.
