Seat, Rear, Folding, Bronco

Removal

1. Remove rear safety belts. Refer to Section 01-20A.

2. Unlock rear seat back release latch (61382).

3. Unlock rear seat cushion latch assembly. Fold seat forward.

4. Remove rear seat cushion pivot bracket bolts.

5. Remove spring plug buttons. Remove spring bolts.

6. Remove the spring, washer and retainer from the rear seat cushion pivot bracket (60520).

7. Remove seat assembly from vehicle.

8. Remove screws attaching rear seat back frame (613A38) to rear seat cushion frame (63160).

9. Remove the rear seat cushion pivot bracket.

10. Remove the torsion spring from rear seat cushion pivot bracket.

11. Remove rear seat cushion frame from hinge pivot pins in rear seat cushion pivot bracket.

12. Remove rear seat cushion frame.

Installation

1. Follow removal procedures in reverse order.

2. Remove the damaged bolt for the anchor reinforcement and discard. Install a new bolt with the same part number as indicated.

3. Tighten screws attaching rear seat cushion pivot bracket to rear seat cushion frame to 16-24 Nm (12-18 lb-ft). Tighten screws attaching rear seat cushion pivot bracket to rear seat back frame to 18-27 Nm (13-20 lb-ft). Tighten spring bolts to 54-81 Nm (40-60 lb-ft). Tighten bolts attaching rear seat cushion pivot bracket to floor to 54-81 Nm (40-60 lb-ft). Check the seat for correct operation.
