REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Roof Panel, Bronco

Removal

  1. NOTE: The tailgate window must always remain in the full down position when the roof is off the vehicle to prevent possible window breakage.

    Lower the tailgate window to the full down position.

  1. Lower tailgate.

  1. Remove the lower trim moulding attaching screws and the plastic trim mouldings.

  1. Scribe the location of the moulding attaching brackets on the fiberglass roof's surface and number each bracket as it is removed for reference during installation.

  1. Remove all the roof attaching bolts and moulding attaching brackets.

  1. Carefully lift the roof off the vehicle to prevent tearing or separating of the weatherstrip from the fiberglass roof. The roof weighs 264 kg (120 lb.).

Installation

  1. Follow removal procedures in reverse order.
