Section 01-02: Body Panels, Front End | 1996 F-150, F-250, F-350, F-Super Duty and Bronco Workshop Manual |
Refer to Section 01-00 for a description of the cab construction.
The front-end sheet metal consists of bolt-together panels that attach to the cab and the frame (5005). Extensive use is made of two-sided galvanized steel in the hood (16612) and front fenders (16005) to control corrosion. Also, plastic inner fender liners are installed to help prevent corrosion damage.
