Sealing Materials

Listed below are various sealing and adhesive materials recommended for use with body repairs. These materials are recommended for the various locations on the vehicle body that require some form of seal against dust or water. These locations are:

• areas where a permanently flexible seal is required, such as wheel housings and the floorpan.
• external panel seams that require finishing in a matching body color.
• areas where a seal or material is required to withstand stone pecking, such as wheel housings and the floor pan.
• protected areas where a bulk sealer is required.

Always apply the various sealing materials to clean, dry surfaces to ensure adherence and the formation of an effective seal.
